Many of the other posts are correct- it is a 6 sided, 3D shape based around a rectangle. However- there is also a shape called a rectangular prism. A rectanglar prism has 6 rectangular shaped faces but a CUBOID has 2 square faces (ends) and 4 equally sized rectangular faces. (effectively a stretched cube) Therefore a cereal box would be a rectangular prism. Hard to think of any real life examples of a cuboid.

In geometry, a cuboid is a solid figure bounded by six rectangular faces. Since it follows that all its angles are right angles, and opposite faces of a cuboid are equal, a convenient mental image is an ordinary cardboard cereal box. It can also be called a rectangular parallelepiped or rectangular prism

a cuboid is a box whose three dimensions the length, breadth and height can have different values. If all dimensions have the same value ,its a cube. Thus a cuboid is an elongated cube.
Thus an elevator is usually cuboidal in shape whereas a dice is a cube.

Cuboid is derived from cube. The basic difference is that in a cube lenght, breadth and width are of the same value, while in a cuboid lenght, breadth and width are of different values.
Cuboid can contain other multiple small cuboids like, sugar cubes, cupboard in a room.Cuboid shapes are used for rooms, boxes, cupboards, building etc.
In human anatomy we have the cuboid bone at the foot.
