a lot of times (lately) I find myself daydreaming about the kind of appartment I'd like to have; something simple but stylish along with my fave pet - an American fuzzy lop bunny, :))

the problem, as always, is financial, :)) i know i may never have what I desire but I just can't stop thinking about it.

how do I deal with this little escapist fantasy

(in order to make this happen I'd have to write a bestseller or something, :))

thanks

Just look at your pet. He ( or is it she?) is happy wherever YOU are..Is he happy you have brought it from his burrow on to this hole that you say you have? You can never be sure.

Your pet tells you thia amzing reply. Be happy where you are. If you think that after ( if at all) you have that dream apartment all to yourself you are not going to be daydreaming for a large beautiful garden for your fluffy friend to paly, you are wrong. The dream will go on.

you donot have to stop dreaming but donot let that bog you down and make you feel unhappy

Is it healthy? Probably, although I'm sure it gets frustrating if all you have are dreams.

Instead of just dreaming about what you want, why not start working on a plan to get what you want. Figure out how you can save money towards the apartment/decorations/pets that you now just dream about. That way your dream becomes your goal, and something that you can achieve.

(Writing a bestseller or winning the lottery -- I wouldn't put these high on the list of how to achieve this goal, by the way.)

Daydreaming can be healthy if you can do two things - one, cut your dream to a reasonable size or height and two, start planning as per your daydream.

In fact, this way you can turn into an achiever rather than a jealous wretch (which is what you'll be if you continue to merely daydream)

First make this day dreaming a conscious one, by doing it at will.... that will reduce the occurrence of 'finding' yourself dreaming about it. Next, associate the sequence leading to such conscious dreaming, like a flash back of a visual... Slowly this will become a powerful inspiration to achieve something very close. Good luck & best wishes.

You have to work for it. Set a goal. Write the bestseller. Don't give up.

You have your goal (apartment and bunny) and you have you means (best seller). You job is almost done for you. You just need the action part.

Go out and earn more money or make more friends to take your mind off things.
