I have two hard drives, windows XP is on C and F is the slave(SATA). I used system restore and it said something about F not being included for some reason. I restored, and now I cant access F drive, it just says do you want to format, when I click on it. It cant be restored with system restore, so is there any other way to access the F drive?

You all need to run a Live3 CD that can show you your expensive drives, plus, recover all your file data

grab a free http://pclinuxos.com and burn the ISO to CDrom.

reboot with it in the CDrom drive. It will boot in a RAM disc.

Drives will show up on the desktop. Copy important files to an external firewire or USB drive, or burn to CD or DVD.

Then, when you find that this is soooo easy, totally virus free, and you like this, you hit the 'install' icon. 50X faster once installed, and, then, you get the 5421 FREE games, programs, suites...

Right click on 'My Computer' > Click Manage > You will get Computer management Window.
Now on the left menu Click 'Disk Management'. You will see every disks and drives attached with your computer. You should see two hard drives in the window on the right-bottom panel.
If you see your F drive right click on it> Click Format.
It should work now.

If You cant see your Drive in there restart your computer and try these steps.

Go to Device Manager and REMOVE/Uninstall the F drive. Then reboot your computer and let it pick it back up again as new hardware. good luck :-)

check your contol panel - administrative tools - Computer Management.
Select Disc Management, you will see 2 HD and CD-rom (if you have)
you will see like : Disk0, Disk1, CD-Rom0
if in Disk1 there's no text like : FAT32 or NTFS, it's mean your partition is erased.
try to find tools in http://www.download.com to get recovery partition software
