My Nephew is doing a project at school and has been trying to find out how many countries are really concerned enough to do something about it.
Can anyone help by telling me which countries are actually prepared to do something about it and and which ones do not care.

The countries that are members of the Kyoto agreement are in favor of doing something, and those opposed to Kyoto accords are the ones who do not care.

As someone has said before If you start by looking at the Kyoto Agreement and see who is in favour and not in favour of that. There is also a lot of european legislation on the matter of global warming and very strict guidance on what the member countries are expected to emit and how to bring that down. If you go onto the europa website it should have all the information. The Environment Agency website should also be a very good tool in finding information.
All of Europe is regulated as one on certain issues but there should be some good cases which have been brought against member states for not comply or for only partly complying on the Europa website.

Everyone seems prepared to talk about the issue but there is little evidence of any country taking a tough stance.
I personally do not think that the USA could care less about the rest of the planet as long as they're OK.

okay, your Q is very familiar to me as i studies global warming for exams just weeks ago.

mainly european countries are affected by global warming. this is also cause of Acid Rain.

most of the european countries like Gernany, Norway, Poland, Sweden are very concerned about it because countries properties has been damaged for industrialisation. They are trying to stop polluting the weather with toxic chemicals by reducing the amount of electricity produced. they also cutting down less trees.

all countries trying to do something, but not doing anything actually. the ice caps are melting in north & south pole.

asian countries like China, Japan & S. Korea are putting much effort.

What Nora said. You need to find a list of the nations that were signatory to the Kyoto agreement .
