im with nationwide and ive had no troubles at all

The Co-operative Bank is the most ethically minded on the high street. And my wife says they are very nice to deal with.
I bank online, which is great if you don't need to see your bank manager, and means you can handle all your banking arrangements securely on the web.

unfortunately there is not a best bank. banks just want to make money and they change there service when profit calls. try looking on the net to compare rates etc type in banks and see what happens

it all depends on what the person you speak to in the bank is like.
i know people who collectively have fallen out with every bank but have also been happy with every bank.

Barclays bank is the worst, I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire!
Nationwide Building Socioty are the best been with them forever and love them.

The Abbey or the Nationwide stay away from the HSBC they are conns and slap charges on you evry time I have experienced them

i have had accounts at all the high street banks and they are all crap, but Lloyds is slightly less crap and more likely to compensate you should they mess you about.
