how do you set up a wireless network, with linksys without having a hard wired computer on the network?

I had this same problem go to linksys website and download there setup program and run it it will want your laptop to be hard wired in but it will setup both the router and your laptop at the same time it takes about 5 min

No he's not asking how to set it up but how to set it up without actually connecting a PC to the router.

In Short try using the set up program available to download from the linksys site.

other than that, Sorry I dont think its possible...

1. Reach over into the garbage can and fish out the manual.

2. open it, and read where it says that you initially set up with an ethernet cable connected to your system.

I set up in 5 minutes, my network of 8 to 80 machines...

Mostly, I need it to DHCP on auto, be a disguised network (DO NOT broadcast SSID!), and invoke WEP 128 encryption.

It depends on if you have cable internet, DSL or Dial-up. If you have Cable then run ethernet cord from modem to router. That's it! It should work simular with dsl. good luck :-)
