I have noticed that in today's cricket there are very few matches which are hard fought by both teams otherwise one team throws its weopans very easily in the early part of the match. If you think I am wrong please read the score cards of the so far played champions trophy matches. I am sick of it. Why is it? Have you got some idea?

Cricket, like any other team sport deals with peaks and troughs for various reasons - rebuilding after players retire, or after morale controversy, selection processes, match payments. This is all before pitch variances in different countries - Go through the lists of teams of countries that have excelled, you will find the nucleus of those teams was made up by the same handful of players over that particular duration.

As such Cricket is a very funny game. Funny in the sense that the team which performs to it's potential scores over the other.

There's hardly any room for errors these days. I know that one really feels sick at the end of the day when the matches are One Sided, however you really can't do anything about it.

One reason for the one sided matches is that the teams playing are not of equal strength. Even when the teams of equal strength plays, the match becomes one sided as happened in case of Sri Lanka v/s West Indies Match. This is because the teams are not playing to its potential.

The main reason for this is the pitch and other conditions. Nowadays, Cricket (ODIs) are played day and night. Some days, its easy to bat during daylight conditions than night under floodlights. Some days its difficult to bat first and difficult to bowl under floodlights. (Then its easy to bat). I think that should be the main reason apart from mismathes except for big Cricketing Countries like Australia, India, Sri Lanka playing against Bangaladesh or Zimbabway.
