Can someone please help me get rid of this annoying pop up it looks like a question mark in a blue circle that changes to a no entry sign it appears in the bottom left hand corner of our screen and flashes between the two signs non stop. every so often a pop up window appears telling us it has detected a virus and we must click on the link when we do it takes us to a web site called spywarequake.com It is driving me crazy have tried various virus and spyware removals but none of them detect anything on our computer. Please Please Please help me get rid of this before i destroy the computer.

Tried all the suggestions I have norton Anti virus and it is uptodate and finds nothing went into registry and cannot find any spywarequake files or any of the other files listed in the symantec pages. This is driving me so Crazy. and im not very computer literate

the symantec removal option requires you edit your registry. this isn't a wise choice if your not comfortable editing your registry and could cause your computer to be in worse shape than it is now.
The link below will do the same job and no registry work on your part is required.

You have a virus, I had it as well and nothing will get rid of it. It over rides your scanners so they do not detect,It also will take out your default's,sound,automatic updates. If you would like me to help you click on my name and hit me at yahoo or send me email, Look at my best answers and you will see i have been on here helping people for awhile now with this nasty bug(i got the virus from clicking on a profile @ myspace)

Download, UPDATE, and run spybot search and destroy and adaware..You will also want to do an online virus and trojan scan...Links below...
If after, you still have the problem..I would recommend going to a forum that will read your Hijack This log...Experts will help you clean your computer. there are some virus with your PC. perhaps you can get a internet security software to scan for virus, adware and spyware .

www.grisoft.com an download a program called "ewido" it's free and should get rid of that annoying popup ... Microsoft Defender does a reasonable job on spyware also ... but Defender does require you to authenticate your copy of XP

its because of virus. so install a spyware and scan ur system and the find the path of the virus then destroy it.
