Great answer, Eagle, you really nailed it! As a Gemini, I can vouch that it is true, at least for me. I am often labeled as "my crazy friend..." but most say that affectionately. I tend to be hyper and overly happy and will do very eccentric things to cheer my friends up. What you have to understand about a Gemini is that we are very emotional. We really do feel what others feel and other people affect my mood more than I do! The rapid shift in emotion should not be seen as "two-faced." To me, a two-faced person is someone you can not trust because they will talk about you behind your back and stab you in the back when you least expect it. My friends all come to me with their problems because they know I will listen, give good advice, and keep it to myself. I am the most trustworthy person and I love everyone, really! I am very friendly and often speak to people I do not know. I smile and greet everyone who makes eye contact with me. I have never cheated and never will.
The important thing to remember is that even though someone is a Gemini and they may exhibit some “Gemini traits,” their experiences in life will cause them to be the person they are. I had a great childhood and consider myself to be a happy, mentally healthy adult. Another person, however, may have been abused or hurt in an emotional way that causes them to behave much different than me.
The person who commented above about their boyfriend believing that they are unfaithful is most unfortunate and I have been through the exact same thing! Because I am so friendly, I have had boyfriends in the past that accused me of cheating but I swear I never have. People out there, just remember the next time you meet a Gemini they are going to treat everyone with the same loving affection and if you want to be with a Gemini that is something you will have to accept. Don't assume that friendly behavior means they are physically attracted to the person. I tend to hug everyone I know when I see them at some point or another, especially when they look like they need it!

The first example is perfectly fine. The second is fine, so long as you make it clear from the very beginning, that this is 'only for fun', and nothing else. Both of my parents are Gemini's. I happen to have Chiron in Gemini exactly conjunct my 4th house cusp, if that indicates much... I don't believe they are two-faced, though. Just not very loyal to people, in as much as they are to an idea. If a Gemini says that they will be there at 5, they will not necessarily be there at 5. But, they will eventually show up, if it's really important. In Kindergarten, I was always the last kid picked up from school. Sometimes, I would have to wait outside until 4 or 5 in the evening...but eventually, I knew my mom would show up. My father was a bit more reliable. Infact, if he says 5pm, he will be there at 4:50. He has Sun, Mercury, Moon and Rising in Gemini. Not sure why he's so punctual and reliable, but if anything is a marker for his personality...it's reliability. Might just be because I'm his daughter. However, if it's just a casual thing, like, meeting family for christmas...if he needs to be there by 4, he probably won't get there til midnight. It's a matter of importance.

Umm, I can't speak for all Geminis, I haven't met them all.
But I dated a Gemini for 3 years, and let me tell you, that was really a difficult experience. I eventually broke up with her because she acted like two completely different people from day to day. I had to gauge her reaction to my presence every time I saw her. She also became jealous very easily. I ended up breaking up with her on the night that I won a talent competition because she couldn't be happy for me... she pouted and acted like a baby the rest of the night because I was getting all of the attention and she wasn't... but she didn't want MY attention when we were finally alone. I'm sure not all Geminis are that way, but I'll definitely be a little more leary the next time I meet one. Once bit and twice shy!

Geminis are NOT two faced
They are as flexible as water and as free as the air...you cant pin them down pat.
They have the super ability to be able to "live" another persons experience, in order to understand their feelings.
Their super creative imagination allows them to live in their own world and in the real world at the same time. Their actions are most of the time creatively inspired rather than the norm.
They are not really dreamers (empty in their thinking), but rather explorers of their own visions as a reality
If you can find their soft spot (weak spot), you'll be able to experience their visions and obtaining an amazing friend or hubby.
Unfortunately they are very often being misunderstood as double minded / two faced / mad / crazy etc.
Just ask your Gemini friend next time :
"who is present - you or him" ?! (the other part)
before you start communicating ...lol .. then you`ll probably start off right with him/her ...

I don't think so!!! My Husband is a Geminis and he is very Responsible, Intelligent, Hard Worker, Helpful and Loving. In all my 13 years married to him, he has never been a two faced..

According to my experience with Geminis, most of them are two-faced. The way they feel is constantly changing. They may like you at this moment and in the next five minutes may feel angry with you. They don't know exactly what they want and you're never sure of what they think.

I'm Gemini. We are meant to be very fickle, but I think sometimes people think we're worst than we are.
My ex boyfriend read somewhere that Gem's are more likely to be unfaithful than any other sign, and spent the whole relationship accusing me of always cheating.
It hurt my feelings very much, that someone could read a horoscope, and decide that I'm a **** based on that.
I must admit though, I tend to be friendly to people, even if I don't like them, so there are probably a lot of folks out there who think I'm their friend, but actually I don't really like them.
