Hmm interesting Question. Well since now that N.Korea has got nukes, well it does make the americans worried as they believe that they are the ones with the only right to nuke anyone they want.

The United States is not afraid of either country. Concerned would be a better description. If it were just a matter of taking out either of these countries, there would be no problem, but there are larger concerns. These concerns revolve around alliances and possible widespread hostilities that can extend beyond the borders of these places. In the case of Korea we have to be concerned with China's response to any aggressive act. In the case of Iran it is the reaction of the whole of the Muslim world. Just examine the reaction by many in the world to hostilities in Iraq and this will provide a good indication of why cool heads need to prevail with Korea and Iran, especially now that nuclear weapons are definitely involved in the equation.

USA is the biggest military nation in the world. They are not afraid of Korea, Iran even allied.
But the tension, war between countries can create economical crisis with more effects than any kind of bomb that can be created by rogue states.
All of us in the western countries shall fear that that means that our standard of life may be impacted.
A crisis similar to the 1929 crisis would lead to social tensions and even may lead to the end of the actual domination of the western countries.

If by America you mean Americans, no. Speaking for myself I am concerned about Iran and Korea. What I'm afraid of is the Bush regime. Actually, I was afraid. Now I'm just angry.

America is not afraid of Iran or N.Korea, it's just that americA considers any country with nuclear technology as a threat to them and everyone else, that or they just don't like them having what they have as well i.e nuclear weapons.

i think the USA is more afraid of the prospect of themsleves being targeted for their radical democracy and the rise of new superpowers in the world rather than the individual countries.
here is something to think about, how would u think the USA will react to the alliance or Nrth Korea and Iran :)

they are actually not afraid of any country infront of the world.
but they will be happy to capture this two country. then they will get rid of their long lasting worries. because i believe that north korea is much stronger in weapons. U.S has only more soldiers.
but N.Korea has weapons.
but i don't wan to see war between this two nor with any country with any other country.
unfortunately U.S still fighting with Iraq.
