Because our aggressive foreign policies in the Middle East infringed upon his concepts of faith and morality. He sees himself as literally fighting the devil.

you should try to read some more books and watch some more news, don't listen to whatever people says.
he do not want to live another day watching the middle east falls a part , the information that you have about him are all wrong , try to be positive , he is a great man but no one would understand that

he is taking justice into his own hands, since he cant see any justice in the world, i am in no means justifing his actions rather just expalianig the concepts. in fact i and islam all condem his terrorist actions. ISLAM= PEACE
