Sounds like you are. If I were you I'd be running to the shop to try another! I think its better if you do it with your morning pee, cos its stronger. Good luck, I hope everything works out well for you!

i did a test 5 times over a weekend and they all had faint lines and i also did one that came up negative, i went to the doc's on the monday and they did a test there and then as i took a early morning urine sample with me and the line was still very faint but the nurse who did the test said i was pregnant and that was 5 weeks ago and I'm 11 weeks pregnant, and it took another week before i got a strong positive test ( i did a test every 2 days due to paranoia due to a recent miscarriage ). give it a few more days and do another test or go see your GP and they can do a urine test for you and if that's still inconclusive they will do a blood test, a positive test is positive no matter how faint, good luck!!!

Hi,

Go to the chemist or the supermarket and but one of the more expensive tests. First Response is very sensitive and should give you an accurate result. There is also the Clea Blue digital test, which actually shows you the result as words on a screen, which means you're not squinting and trying to decide whether you can see a faint line or not.

Failing this, pop to yur GP or faily planing clinic. They have very reliable testing methods available to them.

Good luck, I hope you get the result you want.

I think you should wait a few days. If you had a faint positive it's still a positive, very hard to get false ones! But you may just have low levels of pregnancy hormones. Wait a few more days, if after 2 weeks it's still only faint or negative and you've not had a period go to your GP and they'll do a blood test.

i have not had my period since the end of august and i took a pregnancy test on Thursday the 12 and it came out negative. but a test can not tell u if you are or not till at least 6 or 7 weeks after u last missed period. so wait a while and take another one

Over the counter tests are usually pretty reliable these days.
I assume you have been sexually activve, so that's why yourasking. Your best best is to go to your GP/doctor, and explain the situation to them.

they will perform a urine test, and you should be able to get the results right away. If in doubt, check it out. thats the best advice i can give you.

Also patient -doctor confidentiality, will mean that your parents or partner will not be made aware of your situation, unless you state otherwise.

What symptoms do you have??? retest in a week if your period doesn't start- did you get one faint line- and no other line on test strip??=and on test - some have 2 lines- so reread - depends on brand- also breast tenderness can be a pms sign and nausea related to stress- flu- upset or pregnancy-D

Try another test first thing in the morning, but 5 days is still to soon to tell on urine tests. If you still don't get your period, call your doctor and ask for a blood test.

Good luck to you. :D

This sounds like a first pregnancy?? You really should get proper medical advice (even though pregnancy tests from chemists are reliable) a doctor can give you detailed information and guidance from the beginning and put you in touch with the midwife etc.

Well a positive , is a positive. To be safe just go have a blood serum test done.At least this way you will know for sure and can start getting the medical attention you and your baby need right away.Better to be safe than sorry.
