e-bay is a website where you buy and sell, and auction goods.
It can be really great, I found some things I'd been looking for for ages on there at a very good price.
My bad experience was a digital camera, I bought it from someone with 100% positive feedback, but it doesn't work - the photos all have lines down them...
I say e-bay is great for some things, but I won't buy any electronic goods from them again.

I have never had a bad experience of Ebay, because I only buy from people with 100% feedback, and I ask questions if I am not sure, if I don't get a satisfactory answer then I don't buy. You just have to be careful, read the small print, and check the postage cost, some people really con people out of a lot of money, so just make sure you read everything before placing a bid.

Ebay is an public auction that you must register to bid on things. You can sell things at a small fee and there are several virtual stores available to shop in, too.
Personally, I have never had a negative experience on Ebay. I do recommend that you read a seller's feedback, before, you bid on their auction. Some sellers actually require you to have a minimum amount of positive feedback to bid with them. Also, read all their terms and conditions! I have heard of people that have bought knock-offs or the packaging to things, because, they failed to read the terms and conditions.
You can find some deals, but, if you know for certain that you can beat a price--don't bid! It can be very addicting and you may find yourself in the middle of bidding wars with people that have auction software working for them. Finally, read up on reserves, which are preset amounts that sellers will set and may tell you if you contact them. Good Luck!
