would u rather be born blind & never know, or slowly go blind over 20 years & adapted?

I would rather be born blind.

I can't imagine how terrible it must be to have the gift of sight, and then have it taken away from you. I'd rather never have seen anything at all.

I think it would be too hard to adjust, knowing you'll never see the sunset again, ar your family's faces...

I'm partially blind in one eye, which isn't the same, but I'm dreading getting older and losing the sight in the other eye!

Think I'd rather be born that way. You can't miss what you've never known.
I'd miss reading and driving and watching the sunrise and sunset. If I was born blind, I'd know brail and could read but never drive. I'd not know how beautiful the sunset/rise is and wouldn't miss it and pout about not being able to see any more.

If they were the options, I would prefer to go blind gradually. At least, I could recall what things looked like.
