How to tile over cracks on plastered wall to prevent tiles from cracking?

Brickwall on outside and plastered on inside.

Use Cornice cement to fill the cracks. You can get cornice cement from your local Hardware Store - they use it on plaster walls and gyprock as a cover before painting. You may need to sand it a little to even it up. The tiles should stick to it no problem.

the base is everything, yes backer board willwork fine

install hardie backer - or concrete backer board!
