Good morning guys, Since the past 3 months or so that I have been on the net I have been getting emails from people trying to make themselves look as banks etc.
The one I keep getting even after always deleting is the Nationwide Building society asking for me to confirm my details or my account will be stopped, I had 3 similar ones this morning and I deleted them all in my bulk folder.

I notice that I don't have the option of spamming it in bulk folder.
I am using Bt internet along with yahoo mail, Can anyone help please.

To delete the junk mail before coming to your bulk mail folder, But only drawback is you may loose some good Bulk mail , or mail from friends who are accustomed to send bulk mail.

Here is the procedure.
Click on options at the upper right corner.
(options > mail options in Beta)

Then Click on Spam protection.
Under spam filter. Choose "Immediately delete these messages upon receipt". (Note: If you choose this option, you will not be able to review the messages before they are deleted.)

Click on save changes button.

This will delete all spam messages addressed to your bulk mail folder.

Here's a little tip.

You might have noticed that some of them have an 'unsubscribe' feature on the bottom of the spam mail, Never do this.

Most spam mail is sent out by a pc, there's not actually someone sat there typing email addresses in so it just works it's way through the alphabet unless it has a list obtained from a 3rd party.

A lot of these email attempts fail because it's a dead email addy or one that just doesn't exist, but you sending in an unsubscribe tells the system that's it's for real and your using it on a regular basis.

You'll then ended up getiing more and more spam.

You can set Y!Mail to automatically delete items in your bulk folder, which is where all spam is kept. After turning this option off in my account I found that the occasional e-mail I want to keep does get thrown in, so I am in the process of training it. Your bulk folder is not your inbox and doesn't count toward your quota for e-mail storage. But if a spam mail gets into your inbox then mark as spam. Another thing I had to do to make sure e-mails from bebo didn't go into spam was put the e-mail address into your contacts.

I frequently scan over the items in my bulk folder to check for non-spam items and then empty it, even though it will automatically delete..... I am sure you can reduce the time taken for the bulk folder to empty itself.

The Yahoo Mail server has a "clear out" that evaluates all your digital mail and springs to a decision what's unsolicited mail. those are sent to the majority Folder. Any emails that are sent there, and you do not prefer seen a unsolicited mail, click the not unsolicited mail button and positioned their digital mail handle on your handle e book.

If it's in your bulk folder, it's already marked as spam. That's why Yahoo! is putting it there, and not just straight to your inbox.
