As long as there is mutual respect then that should be the most important thing! Love matters also!

Its the other way round. I have a Muslim girl friend. We have been together for more than 6 years. We love each other very much. We don't really remember the diiferences we have.
But now the most difficult time is approaching for both of us. We can't get married cause our marriage is not acceptable by our families. So we are very much afraid of losing each other.
So if there is the same sentiment in your place like ours, I would suggest you to discontinue your relationship. As time go by things are going to be complicated. But if you don't mind about religion and families you may keep the friendship. It is up to you.

Muslim's have some very specific traditions and ideas when it comes to marital and women in relationships. You will be expected to convert eventually and this will entail you leaving your family and friends behind who are not of the same faith. It is a very tightly nit community. It doesn't mean that he isn't a nice guy or that he can't be good to you. He is however, lying to you if he tells you that you won't have to convert. I recommend that you research the religion online and see how clear the laws they have are established with regard to this area.

I am in a relationship with a Muslim, and things are going stronger each day for us. I'm a Christian who believes that religions are human's private tools to communicate with God.

Sadly, nowadays people misuse religions so often that the perception of certain religions are formed by public opinions.

It all depends on the love and respect you both have for each other..I had a non-muslim bf but it didnt work though I was in the relationship for 2 years and the reason was that he was disrespectful and intolerant towards my religion.

yes,I don't understand why it would be a big issue if you love each other. Would you be asking this if He were Jewish or is it because of the stigma cast of Muslims lately? And no I am not a muslim.:)

The thing that most of those who answered do not really know Islam. The are just facsinated with what the western media report. Islam can tolerate with any religion. In islam we can marry christian or jewish. So you are not required to change your religion to marry moslem.

Sure. Why not? It's not like they are ALL crazy bombers.

Egyptians especially, only recently has that fanaticism sprung up in their culture.

If he has what you like, keep him.

On the other hand, if he goes all out with the costume and everything, what the fxck?

You are BOTH sick.
