i fear that it can sink much lower!!!!
I know it is diabolical, i feel like t.v has just decided that if it doesn't shock it is not worth watching!
Also the abundance of reality t.v shows where we are told "we really NEED your vote" - yes of course they do- what easier way is there to make money for them?
Unfortunately i am not sure how long radio can withstand the pull of the moronic idea of entertainment peddled by television chiefs!

I hate TV too and it'll probably sink a lot lower by the time our 9-month old is an adult. Who knows where it's headed? Public executions, cameras planted on the front lines of wars so you can see the corpses pile up, a blending of sitcoms with hard core porn. I was once eating while flipping through the channels where I stumbled across a televised open-heart surgery; I almost vomited.

Ugly Betty is a FANTASTIC show. It's funny, has a moral, and it's just a feel good comedy.
The 'sex sells' is the unfortunate truth. Hopefully writers will turn this notion around and save that for strictly advertising for men's and porn magazines.
And dude, TLC is wicked. I personally love What Not To Wear, however you make think it's materialistic?? And what about biography and discover channel? Lots of good stuff out there, it goes with the good and the bad. Get over it.
I know, i suggest you create your own TV show. What would YOU like to watch?

You just need to be a little selective. Anyone can just stare at a screen for hours on end and not get much out of it, but if you have a look around there is some great educational stuff, drama and comedy.
Radio can be just as bad though, just listen to radio 1 and you'll see what I mean.

Not on my local radio they dont!
There was a bloke on radio today who was ranting on about how we didn't have global warming in Victorian times and they survived without central heating so why cant we? Errr, they had chimneys and coal fires and serious smog problems. Yeah, lets all go back to that! Stoooopid man.
I agree though. After accidentally catching Jeremy Kyle today, I'd rather put up with my local radio!

It has a long way to sink before I switch it off.
If I don't like something, I don't watch it.
Must admit I don't watch as much as I used to because so much of it is crap.
