It will be so nice to get in contact with an old friend after all this time. I myself did this a couple of months ago,i managed to track my friend down and she was delighted to hear from me. We now share emails etc, catching up with all the years and it's as if we had never lost touch. My advice to you would be,go for it,you will find that your friend has thought about you too over the years. So go for it and i wish you many happy hours of catching up with your long lost friend. ps/ do let us know how it goes.

I think that would be a wonderful thing to do! I have recently made contact with an old friend whom I lost contact with about 7 years ago.

Depends on how many times you remembered this friend of yours for the past 20 years, doesn’t it? Do it with respect, an open heart and no expectations and tell us what’s happened. Obviously something (that you don’t want to share with us) is bugging you. Go and check it out.

Maybe then you will remember why you decided not to have contact for 20 years. It was the right thing to do.

i feel it would be wrong because you should have done it 20 years ago. u probably r feeling a loss and think this person will replace that loss. you have never had a need for them before but now u do? ask yourself that question , why now?what has changed in the way you feel?

It might be nice to write, but DON'T make arrangements to see them. I kept in touch with someone by letter for well over twenty years and when we finally were able to meet, it was an embarrassing , if not excruciating - event, which neither of us enjoyed.

I recently got in touch with a friend who I hadn't seen for almost 25 years - it was fantastic - when we meet it's like we've never been apart! I'd advise it to anyone!
