If you cannot access anyother computer, then
1) Use a USB to 2,5" drive adaptor for the new drive, and copy data from the old to new.

If you can access the other computer, then
1) Use a USB to USB tranfer cable, copy the data to the hard drive of the other computer. You need to set up the software on both computers.Install the new drive and copy back.

2) Network two computer together. If your workplace has a network, just plug your PC into the network. If you cant access a network, you can connect two PC together with a RJ45 cross over cable.

You can then right click on the old drive, and then select sharing.
On the other computer, select Map network drive. Then the old drive is visible on another computer with a new drive ID.
Copy all the files to the other computer. Copy back to the new drive after installation.

To delete the file, you can just select all files and then click delete. But it is better to format it install of deleting it so that there is no trace for the other to recover.

Get a USB to 2.5" drive adaptor. Hook the failed drive up to a USB port and see if you can read it.

If you can't, you'll have to send it to a data recovery service. That is very expensive. It can run several thousand $$$.
