The pilot was unloading unused bombs, and unknowingly one of the bombs hit a school. The pilot returned to the village of the school after the war to find out if the incident was true.

I am very happy to hear that the pilot didn't do it on purpose, and was sorry for it. WW2 American pilots were, usually, not the same as today's American pilots.
