In law the age of majority is the age at which one acquires the full legal rights of an adult. This commonly includes things such as the right to vote and the ability to enter into binding contracts. The age is normally fixed by law, though in some cases a minor may reach majority through an emancipation procedure. In Australia the age is 18 and I would say that without your parents consent this is the age you would have to be. ♀
