You can wear eye makeup...i do it all the time. Shadow, eyeliner, masacara ....the works. But put your contacts in first. If you put them in after your eyes will probaby water and mess it all up. If your not really sure how to do your makeup....try some lighter colors for practice or maybe go and get a makeup consultation...like at dillard's for example.

Goodness...well I have worn contacts for 4 years and wear contacts. Honestly you can wear any makeup. It takestime for your eyes to get use to contacts. I suggest if your sensitive buy a mineral base eye shadow, mineral wear line i swear by from physcians formula you can get at the drug store. The eye shados will be normal colors, you won't find any bright colors, nudes, pruples, browns etc. However it will not irratate your eyes.
A good mascara from Clinque or Lancome which is most expensive, but not going to irratate like other mascaras, it might be a small but good investment if you have eye problems.
I carry q-tips in my purse. it will help with what is called eye-bugers. It's all technical. However using one in the dorner of your eye after you put on eye make up weather in the inner rim or as eye shadow will help from eye problems or spects floating around in the ey atching to your contact lens. I carry just a few and Q-tips really help and also if you have a second contact case if it's a bad day helps as well.

You should always put your contacts in before applying make-up.
Use a water-based but water-resistant mascara that is not prone to flaking. Do not use lash-building mascara, because particles may get into your eyes. Two thin coats are better than one thick coat. Note that waterproof mascara, which cannot be easily removed with water may stain soft contact lenses
Use a soft pencil eyeliner rather than a liquid or powdered version that will flake off. If you put eyeliner between your lashes and your eyes, you may discolor soft lenses permanently.
Use pressed powder eye shadow rather than liquid or cream. Never use pearlised or frosted types that may contain glitter and drop into eye causing irritation.
Always remove your lenses before removing makeup.
When shopping for makeup, choose a water-based, hypoallergenic liquid foundation, instead of cream, to prevent leaving a film on your lenses.

Put your contacts in then do your makeup. You'll probably get watery eyes & stuff so there's no point in getting your makeup all good only to ruin it with saline. Make sure you get hypo-allergenic makeup so it doesn't irritate your eyes & always take out your contacts & take off your makeup before going to sleep. Replace mascara every 6 months otherwise it can breed bacteria & seeing as you're playing with your eyes it is more suseptable to infections etc.

You should put on all your makeup, except mascara, before putting in your contacts. Apply mascara after putting in the lenses. The reason you you put everything else on first is to keep the loose powder from getting under or on your contact.

hi, u shld put on ur lenses first den ur makeup.. if u do liners, try not to draw onto the inner lid & try to stay outside as it may cause an infection. u can aso try hypoallergenic cosmetics which are said to be safer for contact lens wearers.

I apply my contacts first, then I apply my makeup. Use a soft brush to apply your makeup. If your eye brush is too hard, your contacts my shift while you apply your eyeshadow.
