im not a close friend, but shes living w her mother now and im there alot

evn tho i appreciate ur thoughtfulness, i wud rather ask u not to b interfering in this regard. giv her som time to get over it, trust me its as hard as it gets. let her decide whom she wud confide in.
it seems that u really wana be close to her. but, right now giv her all ur care and understanding, dont be too engaged and involved, try and maintain a good balance between estrangement and involvement. visit her often, get close to her kids. eventually she wud get closer and talk out her emotions.

If you're not a close friend and she has other people to talk to, don't worry about it. There's no harm in just asking her if she needs to talk or not.
