First of all, rooster n. domestic cock. cock1 —n. 1 male bird, esp. of the domestic fowl.

Now, let us consider that life got evolutes (evolution n. 1 gradual development. 2 development of species from earlier forms, as an explanation of their origins) from microorganism (micro-organism n. microscopic organism, e.g. bacteria, protozoa, and viruses).

In that event, the egg must have formed or evolved (evolve v. (-ving) 1 develop gradually and naturally) first and gradually the chicken or rooster was born.
