Actors have a variety of skills. Singing, dancing, telling jokes, doing stunts, skating...any skill can become an asset to an actor. You never know what roles you will need to perform and many require a variety of skills. You need as many talents as possible to succeed. If you are serious about it then start to branch out, learn new things, as many as you can,

Also look in your school or community for acting classes or groups. Being with people who share your passion will help you develop your skills.

Good luck!

Experience, experience, experience, experience. You say you don't want to act in plays, but almost every great actor started with bit parts in theater or independent films. You don't jump right in to movies, you work your way up the ladder. Start by taking drama classes at your local community college. Things like dance classes and singing classes can also help immensely. You're not going to get a feature role right away, you'll need to chip at the edges of the field until you get your big break.

Don't go to Hollywood. Just because movie studios and television studios have production studios there, doesn't mean they're looking for actors there.

Firstly, go to the acting academy. Act in some plays and be talent scouted along the way. Following that, you will be called for auditions. Good Luck and work hard.
