I can't remember exactly how long, I know it's hours anyway. But you can take a pregnancy test now as early as the day you expect your period.

Generally speaking it takes around 6-8 hours for a sperm to reach the egg (about 1 inch per hour).
Different women will take a different amount of time to feel or think they may be pregnant. Some women have claimed to know the same day, but this is extremely rare. Others can know within days but again this is rare since these women would have to be extremely in sync with their bodies.
Others have to wait for the signs and symptoms - at least a few weeks (nausea, missed period, sore breasts etc).
Your body will need at least 1-2 weeks to produce enough of a particular hormone in your urine before a home pregnancy test could react. Taking a test immediately after would NOT give you a reliable result.

life of sperm is 24 hrs... so it can reach the egg anytime after sex.... now the question of knowing if u r pregnant depends upon the ur last periods..... if its been 6-8 weeks since ur last period (of course if ur periods are regular).... then u shuld test ur pregnenecy there are strips available to check it ur self.

The first day of your missed period is the soonest you can do a pregnancy test. NOT right after having sex. The best is to have a blood test done. Hope this helps...

a home test usually shows approximately 2 weeks after conception... about the same time as your period is due

Probably about as fast as you can say "Baby". You can take the home preg. test after sex and know.
