Over the past few months I have felt as though I have been descriminated against. I was working overtime , and have been with the company for over 4 years. Now im lucky to get 30 hours a week since we hired a new manager. There are other employees working overtime with less than 1 year on the job . I am a Hispanic male the only one currently working with this company at this location. I do field work and was working with the managers son-in-law when he said "your a **** arent you" I replied no Im spanish if you realy want to know . My family on my mothers side are from spain Im not mexican. His responce to me "I dont give a F*** your all wet backs to me"
Im well educated born in the US and there is only one person who could possibly know im hispanic and that is my manager I know he would be the only person responsible for telling his son-in-law I was hispanic. We have a corporate office with human resource department . A sub and one at corporate level what should I do?

Contact the Corporate Human Resource Director, ask for an appointment to discuss the situation. If too far to travel, submit a detailed statement of what occurred - Who, What, Where, When - by Certified Mail, return receipt requested. That way you will have a receipt to verifiy that Corporate was made aware of the issue.

If no action is taken within a reasonable amount of time, contact the State Human Rights Commission and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and file a complaint.

I believe that you have an excellent case, but you should inform HR to allow them to address the problem internally. If nothing is done, you will have a stronger case since you have evidence that the Company knew and did nothing, which presumes the fact that they condone such conduct.

There is only one thing to do.
Go to the Biggest Dog that you can find in your company and tell them. Everybody has a boss. Make a log, make photocopies of the scheadule and every single paper that you can put your hands on that will implicate him on descrimination and then hire a Lawyer.
I am hispanic/latino and I have been descriminated by Hispanics.
Make a letter explaining the situation and send it to human resouce department and keep a copy of it.
If you are born in the US, you are not hispanic even your parents are, you are a US citizen and you have rights, USE THEM. Don't stay in the hispanic box.
