I'm with you on this one. TV producers have hit on a gold mine in that they do not have to pay a huge cast of actors. A couple of writers to stir the pot of conflict and the masses that sit and stare at TV just seem to eat it up as if it were real life. Sad, isn't it?

I love it. But only to a degree.
Big Brother goes a bit far with selecting volatile personalities, making the house too small and encouraging strife. I don't like watching people being set up to look socially inept. I also think that most of them have psychological illnesses, and so at the expense of someone's mental health, television producers make a bit of extra cash. Completely immoral in my book.
However, shows like Survivor, X-factor, American Idol - love them. I know it's like candy-television but I cannot stand the News or many other serious programmes. I want to be entertained after along hard slog at the office. I don't need someone stressing me out with wars, death, killing, violence... I just wanna relax! Reality TV does that for me.
Football (English) and Reality TV are currently my preferred viewing delights.

i like some reality television shows but there r some that i really hate. there r some really good reality television on but some r just really stupid.

It used to be fun when it first came out then it went overboard with reality everything until every show became "fixed" for entertainment value. There is no reality in reality tv no more.

I really don't even know why they call it that. "Reality" is suddenly putting a host of intolerant or overly different and xenophobic people in compromising situations?

It has inspired me...to disconnect the cable because watching tha crap is not worth paying for.
