i have a 2.5 cubic foot washing machine and a 6 cubic foot dryer. i want to know how many kilograms these capcities are. in australia we use the kg metric. so like a normal washing machine would be around 5 - 7 kg. and a dryer would be about 3 - 5 kg. so anyone got the answer out there? look forward to your answers:)

There seems to be a bigger problem than just metric units. cubic feet is a volume measure, while kg is a mass measure. Unless you know what the manufacturer is using as the density of laundry, there is no way to convert one to the other.

I have an idea what you mean, but since cubic foot is a unit of volume and kilogram of weight, you can't convert one to the other. They are like apples and oranges. I suggest you measure the size of your washing machine, and also your dryer. Then take these measurements to your appliance shop in Australia and ask them what would be the equivalent in kg. Or take the manuals, if you have those as well, to the shop, so you don't have to bother about getting measurements. Lastly, once you are at the shop, I think you will have a good idea what is the probable equivalent of your washing machine and dryer just by comparing them with the ones sold in the shop in Australia.
