First, there is not a single demand, or set of demands, of "terrorism." There are many terrorist groups in the world with widely differing demands and goals. Contrary to apparently popular belief, such as that expressed in fatsausage's post, not all terrorists are Muslim. In fact, most of them are not.
Terrorism is a technique of using random, or even targeted, attacks upon civilians to achieve a political end. If there is no political goal in an attack it is not terrorism. Terrorism is used by both so-called non-state actors (this is the kind that most people probably think of when thinking of terrorism) and by states themselves (remember Shock and Awe?).
Terrorists do not have a particular religion. Certainly there are terrorists groups whose members may subscribe to a particular religion, but there are others whose members may have different religions, or none at all.
I cannot stress enough the point I made earlier, that most terrorists are not Muslim. Besides such groups from the recent past that are no longer active, such as the Weathermen (US), Baader-Meinhof (Germany), and the Red Brigades (Italy), there are numerous non-Arab/Muslim terrorists groups currently acting in various places in the world. For instance (different groups in the same country are separated by a semi-colon):
Aum Shinrikyo; Japanese Red Army (Japan)
ETA; GRAPO (Spain)
Kach; Kahane Chai (Israel)
PKK; DHKP/C (Turkey)
LTTE (Sri Lanka)
ELN; FARC; AUC (Colombia)
17 November; ELA (Greece)
Shining Path; MRTA (Peru)
ABB; NPA (Philippines)
ALIR (Rwanda)
IRA; CIRA; RIRA; LVF; OV; RHD (Ireland)
PAGAD (South Africa)
RUF (Sierra Leone)
Granted, some of these groups are very small, and for some the actual membership is unknown, but even with those caveats, these groups comprise some 100,000 active members, with many thousands more who are sympathetic and/or supporters

Terrorists are all annoyed people. The have impossible demands which cant be resolved. Almost all the terrorists of the world want that the world should be filled with one single religion such as Hitler wanted to fill the world with Nazis.
They know that it is not possible. so they are behaving like mind less people.
