There are a lot of people would like to put on thck makeup, cake-like. As long as it is well blend and looks natural I dun see much of a problem. Mario Testino who is a very famous photographer for Vouge and such, he prefers to have his models with thick thick makeup but the picture still look very natural. You just need to know not to go over the top such as heavy on eye make up ypu can go with a lot of lipgloss otherwise you gonna look like a big hair southener. If you like a lot of lipgloss then keep your eye make up natural with eyeliner, mascara, natural palette eye shadow. For the foundation, you can go thick but remember, blend blend blend blend blend sponge blend blend blend

You're question shouldn't be if you CAN; but rather if you SHOULD wear thick makeup with lots of lip gloss.

You CAN wear as much or as little makeup as you want. However, thick makeup can look trashy, not to mention how bad it is for your skin. When makeup is applied that heavy, it can clog your pores, and keep moisture and oxygen from your skin. The result? More blemishes, your skin getting very dry (or oily depending on skin type), and overall less healthy beautiful skin.
What you SHOULD be wearing is light weight face makeup, with spot treatments using concealer for any problem areas, instead of caking foundation on. Not only does it look better, but it's better for your skin.

As for the lip gloss, you shouldn't be caking that on either. If what you want is bolder or darker color, try a lipstick instead of a gloss. Lipstick will give you that heavier coverage without having to use a lot of makeup. Whatever you are going for, darker, more colorful, heavier coverage, it's easier and better to do with the lipstick than with loads of lip gloss.

In the end, it's all about how you want to look, and what you are happy wearing. Just make sure you are ready to stand by your style and choices. And don't let others make you feel bad if what they think is right isn't the same thing as what you feel is right.

You could, of course, if you wanted it to. It would look horrid and crease oddly on the skin. It wouldn't last the day without constant maintenance.

You can get professional makeup products that have a higher pigment content which has the effect of more coverage but without a thicker layer applied. Try camoflage creams for covering severe blemishes. In the UK try Screenface or M.A.P. and the US tryt Naimies or Cinema secrets. They all ship out.

Anything that is too opaque is going to look mask-like.

If I want breakouts on my face, yeah I can wear my makeup thick. No only can your skin breakout, but your face feels heavy. If you wear a lot of lipgloss, I think it looks gross. It looks like a chick has been eating lots of KFC chicken.

Yes you can, but you shouldn't. Unless of course you're invited to a Rocky Horror Picturs Show celebration....
