I personally dont think we have any more right to be here or are any more important than insects.
It just so happens we have a better brain than most animals so we think we are more important.

each one of us is important as we all have something or the other we need to accomplish to complete the grand scheme. Otherwise, we would not be here....Nothing happens for the sake of happening...its all very well laid out to the last detail. So if we exist, we are an important part of the puzzle.

Of paramount importance.
It's our one chance, in my view, to influence outcomes for better or for worse.
I believe in taking responsibility for my actions and their consequences, rather than taking the view that what will be will be. I know I will not find the cure for cancer or fix the hole in the ozone layer, but there are some things in which my actions can make a difference. It is those areas that I shall do whatever I can to exert my personal power to bring about change, hopefully for the better.
I can choose to smile back at the bloke at the bus stop instead of turning away. I can choose to let the next car out at the queue of traffic. If I think my colleague looks really good in her new outfit or with her new hairstyle, I can tell her. If I see something that represents unfairness, it is my right, (and duty,) to flag that up. Little things make big differences to people and can affect how they respond to the next person.

Depends on your beliefs. I think we are very important as everything we do have a chain reaction so it does make a difference. Even if we are not that important does it really matter. All I know is a happy emotion is better than a sad one.

Humans are the best of the Creation. Endowed with the option of doing or not doing, those who have awakened their soul rise to great heights enviable to angels. There are Saints and Seers, Holy Prophets and Thinkers among this creation only. Although the worst of humans create jealousy among Satans for outwitting them.
