Microsoft has a version of Office designed for Macs, but I believe there should be a version of OpenOffice for Mac, which is free and can use and modify Office files.
BTW, the description that it's white doesn't help. is it an old iBook with plastic white? or a new Macbook pro in silver you mistook for white?

YES Apple/MAC OS will run a version of MS Office built for MAC that can be bought at any MAC Store. But if your asking if an MS Office suite built for windows run on a MAC the answer is NO.
