No, don't be fooled by what the movie says. The directors can say whatever they want. Texas Chainsaw Massacre infact never occured at all. Read for yourself....http://www.texaschainsawmassacre.net/Convinced.htm

I think "Inspired by a true story" is as close to real as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre gets.

Not really. It's based in part on Ed Geins (Psycho was also based on him) but there was never a real Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

No, it quite is not. It become loosely consistent with Ed Gein...the comparable guy that Buffalo bill from Silence of the Lambs is consistent with, he cherished to positioned on the floor of his victims even though it quite is concept that he in basic terms actual killed 2 human beings, he quite often robbed graves. The chainsaw area is finished fiction, the director of the action picture stated the assumption for a chainsaw got here up whilst he become in a ironmongery keep and become questioning of a rapid thank you to get out. He got here approximately to envision the demonstrate of chainsaws, and there you bypass.

yes it really happened. you can probably just google it but add something like "the real story" or something.

that's why i've never watched it. it makes me sick to think that people make money off of something that really happend that was so horrible! Again why I will not see any movie about 9/11. if they were giveing the money to those who lost loved ones, then i'd watch it.
