I know what you mean.Half my family is from the Mediterranean and the other half is from the UK so I've got a mix of olive and pink skin. It's impossible to find a foundation match so I have to make my own. Your best bet is to try a bunch of foundation samples and if you can't find any that completely work for you then mix and match.
Wear mineral makeup (NOT Bare Minerals, Jane Iredale, Sheer Cover or any of that fake crap) because it's natural and won't damage your skin like chemical makeup. It covers extremely well and since you use so little it lasts a long time. Plus you can buy samples for a reasonable price. Every Day Minerals (www.everydayminerals.com) offers a totally free sample kit. You just pay shipping and handing. Their foundations come in cool, warm and neutral tones. Pureluxe (www.pureluxecosmetics.com) is another company however they don't have much choice for dark shades, which only come in two cool and warm tones. Samples $1. Cory (www.corycosmetics.com) has some deeper toned foundation in cool warm and neutral and samples are only 35 cents. Natural Loveliness (www.naturalloveliness.com) has some deeper foundation shades in cool, warm, olive and neutral. However the only samples they offer are in 5g jars for $6.

It is hard to find...for mixed race... My mother is african american and my father is east indian and my tone is redder in the summer and just plain different in the winter... I would try going to a makeup counter preferable NARS... MAC... or BOBBI BROWN... they all have broad range of foundations and thhey can custom blend for you as well and it like a few dollars more depending on where you go...Also an older line my grandma wears called FAshion Fair I dunoo if they make anymore but they are really good too..... HAPPY SHOPPING

I'm not very sure about this but you could possibly try going to a Prescriptives counter in some department store. They'll check out your undertones and all that and recommend the right shades of foundation most suitable for you.

Try Bare Escentuals Mineral Foundation. You can buy from the QVC Website. They do darker shades. The make up range is fab, as it looks natural and as its a powder based foundation doesnt look like you are wearing make up. You can also try out for 30 days to see if you like it.

I would suggest you consult with a Mary Kay beauty consultant. You can find one near you by going to their website. They have an array of foundation colors that they'll bring to your home to try before you buy. That way you can see the foundation in natural light as well as in your bathroom where you probably apply it.

DONT use MAC's foundations, powders or concealers unless you're gonna use it for Halloween or to be on stage under harsh lights. Those 3 specific products of theirs are considered "stage make up". They're just too heavy for the average person. Anyone that knows anything about makeup will tell you that. All their colored stuff is infe (eyeshadows, blush, bronzer..etc..) Try Lancome for foundation. Or go to Sephora and try on all the different brands they have.

Ask for a free makeover in Boots. The girls are really helpful, and they will give you a list of all products used on you. Hope you find what you're looking for.
