Doubtful. The test took place a long way away. Hawaiian Islands are volcanic in nature. Siesmic activity (earthquakes and volcanic eruptions) are common in Hawaii, but usually go unnoticed.

Now if there was a clear path of destruction from Korea to Hawaii, then I might say yes; but I would strongly doubt it.

frequently, this might properly be a sturdy time of three hundred and sixty 5 days to get a sturdy airfare to Hawaii. The specials i've got seen in the previous the earthquake are greater low priced than it expenses the airline to get you here, and that i can't think of them dropping plenty decrease. additionally, the 1st humpback of this season's migration became observed off west Maui final week, so the humpbacks would be arriving, mating, giving beginning and frolicking till approximately March. we are in a position to anticipate the waves to be kicking for yet another super surf season on north dealing with seashores, on an identical time as south seashores can anticipate situations ideal for swimming and snokeling. some Kona storms will carry some plenty-mandatory rain to coach leeward aspects of the islands eco-friendly, on an identical time as the sunlight is frequently nonetheless shining someplace interior the islands. The North Korean assessments had no longer something to do with final week's earthquake in Japan or the day gone by's earthquakes on the Kona edge of the Island of Maui. Earthquakes are extremely simple there, and concerning the stressors positioned on the island on an identical time as lively volcanos are becoming. the day gone by's greatest quake isn't the biggest quake to hit the island of Hawaii in recorded historic previous, and that's no longer even the biggest to hit the Kona area interior the previous 40 years. in case you prefer some hazards to get hysterical approximately, you are able to desire to check out the Yellowstone volcano, the historic New Madrid earthquakes and present day danger, the Hilina hunch, and a volcano interior the Canary Islands that would desire to cave in, inflicting a tsunami to hit the east coast of the U. S.. yet there is not any connection between alleged North Korean underground nuclear assessments and earthquakes interior the midst of the Pacific Plate. and you are able to desire to besides stay your existence on an identical time as you are able to.

How do we know that it wasn't. What is the earthquake quota for Hawaii would be interesting to research. The Pacific plate is very sensitive, although I'm not a scientist, I would not rule it out.
