Cause nobody wants to be taxed?

If you're looking for the "textbook" answer, they probably want to hear that Americans felt they were being taxed without representation.

The truth is more complex. Britian really had some justifiable reasons for taxing the colonies - wars fought on their behalf were quite expensive. The colonies were probably looking for an excuse to break away as much as any real grievances.

The problem was that the British Govt. was able to pass laws on the House of Commons that taxed the American Colonies, while the colonies did not have representation in the House of Commons.

The King and government of britain have been 3,000 miles from the yankee colonies, yet they persisted to place taxes on the colonists for wars the English have been struggling with in Europe. the yankee colonies have been nicely widespread and the financial gadget become becoming, the colonists had to direct their own financial gadget and society, not being instructed by utilising a miles off government what to do and whilst to do it.

actually taxation in the american colonies was comparatively low. people in brition were paying more in taxes than in the american colonies. the war of independence was about who actually goverened them

the only tension created was by the rich as the average american wasn't affected much,so the greed of the rich and a few other things for the same reasons demonized king george and the british to provoke people to fight for them,but they all kept their distance while the poor got killed,

Well, you see, the British king took all kinds of money out of the colonies and he did nothing for them. They kinda had it with that baloney and proceeded to kick the crap out of him (the king).
