over the counter medication is designed to dry your skin....it removes excess oil.
however, if you are experiencing redness of the skin and or peeling, you should purchase a non-comedogenic moisturizer (look for specifically non-comedogenic, means it won't clog pores. such as aloe vera gel. it will say on the bottle), and apply it to your skin twice daily.
ive had bad experiences with acne so i know how you feel. i would reccomend consulting a dermatologist if you have moderate acne that persists 8 weeks after starting to use the acne free system. if you have severe acne, you should seek immediate referral to a dermatologist.
since the three-step acnefree works only on a daily basis, it is important that you use it every day, otherwise your symptoms will not improve. skipping it even one day may cause your skin to break out.
good luck with your acne problem, and i hope my answer helped. :)

I'm a licensed esthetician and I'm saying this without actually examining in your skin but I've never met anyone that need to use a treatment mask that many times a week. As far as using Neutrogena, I wouldn't recommend that brand because I know that it is very drying to the skin, but if that brand works for you than yes I would suggest that you cut back on how many times you use the mask.
Also, yes you should always use a moisturizer (at least a lightweight one) plus a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 or you can use a moisturizer with SPF 15 already in it.

Some ingredients in acne-fighting face cleansers (like salicylic acid) can dry out the skin quite a lot. Even if you're trying to get rid of acne, you should always use a moisturizer since dehydrated skin can cause acne to worsen. Try using an oil-free, non-comedogenic moisturizer everyday and, like you said, use the mask only once or twice a week.

You need to use a moisturizer everyday regardless.
Face masks shouldn't be used as often as you have. They tend to dry out the skin. Once a week tops.
Why are you using the acne line,do you have acne?
If not, using an acne line will not prevent acne.It will dry out your skin even further.
Ease off the masks and use a moisturizer everyday. Also drink more water and start taking even primrose oil capsules.
Your skin will be beautiful in no time.

Yeayh neutrogena tends to do that. Don't use it anymore. It messed my skin up when I was using it. It dried it out and made my skin sensitive. Once I changed to something better my skin went back to being healthier. Yes, you moisturize EVERYDAY. Stay away from Neutrogena! I've had many people tell me the same thing about it. Try Olay. I use stuff from a spa I go to, but if you'r on a budget just try things out. If you don't like them, return them. Use it for atleast 2 weeks to see a difference. If you don't like it, return it! I don't know how many times I need to repeat that, but I've been one of those people that feels bad about returning things that I didn't like. Do it anyway.

I would only use the mask once a week, try and moistureize every day, Try some Nivea cream and break open a vitamin E capsule and mix the two together, works wonders.

Well you need to only you the mask once or twice...a week...that's the max...
If it's still very dry...then...stop it altogether..You need to know which product causes the dryness. I suspect the mask.
