Well, my boss treats me worse than a dog - more like dog poop. But, there are certain circumstances that you can get into unfortunately where you don't have a choice but to continue and you just have to suck it up until a better opportunity comes along and it could take a long time for that to happen. I always remember that whatever comes around goes around - and when it comes his way - I'll be feeling sorry for him. I also just vent my feelings and pray alot so that I can still be the best employee possible. There are certain rules to the employment game such as - try to keep a job as long as possible so your resume doesn't look like you can't keep a job - never quit a job until you have another one - unless $ is not an issue for you at all. When you have kids to consider for instance - you may find yourself backed against the wall as it were. Unfortunately, bosses who treat their employees like dogs - usually know these facts and use them to their advantage to manipulate, control and take advantage. But, for sure if I could get a better job right now - I'd leave in a heartbeat - someday my prince of an employer will find me and hire me out of here. I'm definitely a Cinderella when it comes to my job.

Most likely because getting another job is tough. We sometimes have to put up with people we do not like so that we can get a paycheck, pay the bills and feed the kids.
Hopefully you will grow enough for a better position either with that company or another.
However, if it becomes to much you can always complain about it, you don't have to put up with some things... But in our lives we have to put up with a lot of nasty rotten people...

I'd like to say that I wouldn't but I have done it. The pay wasn't even good. It was a job I loved and they hired a new boss who was a real jerk. He was nasty and fired a whole bunch of people and even more quit. He got fired after about 3 months.

Until I find another job.If i am not appreciated/recognised for my contributions then why stay? How am i suppose to be creative/innovative if it is all just a waste of energy? However when the world throws lemons at you, make lemonade. I will try to find out if my boss is like that with everyone or if it is just me. If it is me, i will find out from other people what my weaknessess are and improve on them and if it is him i will propose team building sessions ...

I am finding out that 90% of owners/bosses have no clue. Just smile and pick up your check, do the best you can do, let it roll off, don't quit until you have landed a better job!
