Wow! That's a hard one! I didn't have a very good childhood, but I had a fabulous imagination. That's what I miss most about being young. We used to play on this big wooden jungle gym on the beach. It was our ship and the sand was the water. We played for hours and hours. We hated it when it got dark and we knew our mom would be calling us home any minute. But it was always nice to walk in the door, out of breath, with cold skin and rosy cheeks. Those were the days!

I was about 4...my family was vacationing in Austria and we spent a good deal of the winter there, lots of playing in the snow and sled rides...but the one thing that has always remained in my mind was Christmas Eve...not so much the actual celebration and the gifts but the sight outside of the window...it was snowing...my first and so far last white Christmas...the falling snow on that night is an image that I will never forget...it is to date, the most beautiful and magical thing I had seen firsthand...

Waking up and knowing we were all under one roof. Actually, you're not too conscious of that until it's gone.
