Wow Wombat - it is heaps cheaper over there!! We are paying around $1.30 a litre for fuel and for a packet of cigarettes about $11.50. Is it cheaper to go out to dinner??

If you come to the Tampa Bay area of Florida, on the Gulf of Mexico, you will have Disney 150 miles to the east. and all kinds of other amusements in Orlando.

In Tampa, you have Busch Gardens, Museum of Science and Industry, aquarium, Tampa Bay Buccaneers football, Hard Rock Hotel, and many other things.

Then 20 miles to the west of Tampa, you have Clearwater and St. Petersburg with beautiful beaches, gambling boats that go out into the Gulf of Mexico, all kinds of cruises locally. All kinds of things to do in this area. You can get brochures at any hotel listing all the attractions for all the places I have mentioned.

You could stay at any of the areas I mentioned, and see it all.

I do not know what time of year you are planning on visiting, but the US is going into the winter season now. It is always warm in Florida. I live near Clearwater, FL.

Once you decide where you want to go, write to the Chamber of Commerce in that city, and they will send you all kinds of brochures about everything. Just address it to the Chamber of Commerce, city, and the zip code.

Have a great time visiting the USA!

Hi Lozza. I am also an Aussie and I visit the US as often as I can. I have been to Las Vegas, New York, LA and Dallas and I have enjoyed them all. Las Vegas is great, colourful, exciting and you can find some good hotel deals on the internet, New York is expensive but worth the visit, LA is has a lot to offer the tourist and Dallas, well what can I say I just love Texas.

Where ever your sister goes she will enjoy.

"Australia and USA were DISCOVERED by Europeans but colonised by England.. but still.. European sailors discovered these lands.. " How ignorant are you? Australia was first "discovered" and colonised by the Aborigines—after-all, we acknowledge them as the traditional custodians of the land before every major event. So 5 years on..when the term has been rendered less derogatory..I will call you a wog. An ignorant wog for that matter. I hope that 5 years on..you'd have gotten over it.

DON'T COME. WE'RE ALL FAT OVER HERE! lol, but if you do come, go to New York or Dayton, OH. And most importantly... stay away from the South unless it's Florida.
