As a guy, I will not claim to be an expert at these things, but if you are thinking "seroiusly" about relationships and not casually dating, there is only one way to look at this.
Be Yourself.
Wear something nice you have, sure, but be yourself. In the end, if it works out, its you or him for x # of years, and you will need to be you and he will need to be him or nothing will ever come of it.
On the other hand, you could just be like everyone else and put on your "personality" for your date and he'll put on his "personality" and you can both break up or get together with each other's personality and *then* try and figure out who each other is and break up horribly.
Your choice. I'd take A any day.
My 2 Canuck beavers.

I know that long dresses are in style now, I just bought a jean one recently that goes all the way to ground and othere are some that just brushes the back of the heel. Flats are very popular now and come in just about any color. As far as shirts go, if youre going to be doing lots of activies on your date (bowling, dancing, or walking around) I would choose something a little bit darker that stretches a little but . As for make-up, I don't wear a lot of it myself, but the essentials are lipstick or gloss, eyeshadow and mascara. Make sure its water-proof and smudge-proof. I hope this all helps!

depends on where you're going. If i were going to a restaurant i'd wear dark jeans, heels (but you can wear some flats, maybe even nice flip fliops), a nice top and maybe a cute little jacket with a nice purse. Also, earings or a nice necklace can make you look more dressed up than you actually are.

Well, first find out what you two will be doing and just wear what you're comfortable wearing. If he doesn't like you for what you're wearing, then girl, he isn't worth your time anyway.......Do your hair, nails and makeup nice...That will show him you care about yourself. Your self-confidence or sense of humor will be most important.

wear flats. they are so comfortable, sohpisticated, and so chic. if you don't like to wear dresses/skirts above your knees, wear them longer. then put a cardigan over. this look is very classy and conservative. =)

depends on where you're going and what you're gonna do, but as a general rule be comfortable. first dates are awkward enough anyway, you don't need to complicate it more with your clothing.
