I'd go for it you only live once. Live your dreams don't let love get in the way.

You realize there are alot of levels of complications here....which is probably why you are writing this question. First of all, you are married. You need to be sure that there is not a way that you can save your marriage. Secondly, how do you know that this 40 yr old man is going to stay with you forever (until either of you die, that is)? Thirdly, if you leave your husband to go with this 40 yr old and if he later on dumps you...do you think your husband will want you back? Lastly, are you sure it is "love" and not "lust" that you feel for the 40 yr old? I think you definately need some professional counseling to resolve this issue. Good luck.

My first instinct is to say you are much too old for him. But, then who am I to say that? Wait for quite awhile though. Don't ruin your marriage for something that might not last. Also, remember that he might love you now but, when he's 50 or so you will be very old indeed. You know, this could just be infatuation. I'm sorry. I don't like to take away from your feelings. I know they must be very strong right now. Please be careful. And don't say there's no life for you without him! Of course there is. That's just how you feel right now.

Sure... age is meerly a number.. Hearts and Souls can not count... As to addition... Him being married is not a good thing and he should remedy that before pursuing the other woman further.. But as to your original question see first part...

Work on youre current relationship with your hubby and if all else fails...get out of the marriage for goodness sakes, for the sake of your conscious. If the other guy is still around after all that...good luck.

Maybe it's just what they call is''the midlife crisis'' maybe you're just making a big mistake, maybe it's the wrong signal. But these are just the doubts that I have in my mind.İf you feel happier and want to be with him for the rest of your life then go for it.Good Luck!
