It is our 17th anniversary and I have done everything that I can think of over the last 16 years. Flowers, jewlery, trips, lingerie, fine dining, surprises, gifts, you name it. What will ring the bell romatically. We love our new home and enjoy celbrating here.

Hey John, what a sweetie you are for putting your wife on a pedestal. How refreshing! Congratulations ! Now it is time for you to use your imagination. Do you cook? Maybe an evening of romantic ambiance and food tasting from around the world that you have prepared. Dipping bite size food in a fondue is fun as well. Dipping fruit in chocolate is great too, blindfolded and feeding her. After awhile, smearing chocolate on each other, well you get the picture. And "special toys are always good. Have you keep memento's that your wife has given you over the years? Make some sort of scrape book. Or maybe make a video of yourself talking about how you first meet, the most memorable time together, etc. I guess you have to think outside the bun.LOL.

I wish you many, many more wonderful years,
O'hock

I think you should give her something little and personal, along with a regular gift. The regular gift could just be jewelry or flowers or something normal to anniversaries. But the little one should be an insider joke or a little detail that you remember about her. For example, I once had someone give me a Cat in the Hat kiddie pillow, because during one of our first phone conversations, I mentioned that Dr. Seuss was one of my favorite authors, it is he most romantic gift I ever got.

Congratulations on your upcoming Anniversary.

Perhaps you could send her out with friends to a day spa while you stayed at home to cook her favorite meal. Put a vase of fresh flowers and candles on the table so it would be more romantic.

Also you could write her a love letter or poem telling her how thankful you are for her, and how much she means to you.

My Uncle had me to make a video of he and my aunt using photo's of them starting from their wedding day, including the birth of their children, and the two of them together through the years. I scanned the photo's and used Movie Maker to add the pictures, I also used "their" song in the video. It was a huge hit with my Aunt, if you cant do that then maybe you could create a scrapbook for her with all the pictures and little captions about her, or your memory from that photo.

Goodluck, I hope your day is a good one :)

How about making a memory book. You can fill it with things that you guys have done together over the last 17 years for example put pictures or postcards of places you traveled, wedding pictures, ticket stubs, things you visited on your annniversary, etc.
Good luck and Hope you have a wonderful anniversary!!!

Have a anniversary party for your 17th year. By the way congratulation. Yes have a party and invite a few friends to celebrate it with you. Or you can renew your vows. Or you could let her choose what she wants to do. Hint around with her to see what she like to do. Then go from there.Get her a nice sweet little dog that she can baby.

first of all congratulations!

A romantic gift that I'd like to get... would be something you make yourself. A list of things you love about her, about the two of you. A collage of cherished pictures in a new frame. A book filled with memories to pass down to family/friends. These types of gifts show appreciation of the love you have.

Hope this helps...

Best gift I ever got was a gift certificate to a full day of treatments at a spa. Your wife will come back home refreshed and relaxed and ready to THANK YOU for giving her such an un-selfish gift.

Just in case you are like my husband and lack in creativity as far as collecting photographs and making crafty collages, etc., here is a great idea: wow her with a hand drawn sketch of either her wedding dress and your tux or something dear to her. You can go to my dreamlines.com and see ideas of what they can sketch for you. Most importantly, explain to her the WHY behind it. Most women really like to hear why you love them and why you did something. That means you have to prepare a short speech! (I know, I know, many men find that hard to do too!) But a personalized gift like this could make her know you love her just as she is.

i develop into on your section till I examine the section with regard to the Xbox and video games. i could be upset too, and sense somewhat insignificant and unimportant to you. This twelve months, take her on a pair's weekend. bypass to a mattress and breakfast at a vineyard or something like that. tutor which you place some theory and attempt into doing something effective for her and which you somewhat decide to spend some high quality time at the same time.

I would say to make her a photo album of the last 17 years together and to take some pictures and put it in the album to give to her. On the front of the album you put one of the nicest pictures of the two of you.
