Married :Realistic expectations for the relationship need to be established.
A desire to share your life with another person who is your best friend, lover, and life companion. One who will be there for you in good times and in bad.
To have a lifetime companion someone who you can share your life experiences with. From getting married to bearing children, watching them grow up and growing old with.
Before you get married, it is important to analyze why you are doing it and if you are ready to make that commitment. Simple guidelines you can follow if you wish are these questions.
Are you in love with the person? Make sure that you are not just infatuated. I would advise waiting a year before making a decision to get married. Through the year, you will see them at their best and worst. Even then, there is still a lot you do not know about the person.
Do you want a lifetime partner? Love changes through out a marriage. It can be strong some days and other days barely existing. However, if you have a good friendship base and like each other you are more likely to be happy. Do not get married because you think you can change your partner. It is extremely difficult to change someone else and it is not going to happen by marrying him or her. Accept their differences and request that they do things differently but do not expect it.
Do not let time pressure be reason to marry. It does not matter if you are with the person for ten years if they do not want to marry you do not force them into it or pressure them.
Are you ready for the challenges in life? No matter what happens in your life, your spouse is going to be there also. You will be facing challenges together. Can you picture yourself with them handling difficult situations?
These are just a sample of questions that you should be asking your self and to your partner. Marriage is a good thing but if you go into it for wrong reasons chances are you will want out of it soon.
Willingness to fulfill one another's needs and desires. They need you as much as you need them. Be fair.

I used to be happy being married, not so much in the last yr or two (we've been married 11 yrs now & no kids by choice).
If this one does end I will never get married again, way too much work, not sure if the benefits outweigh the draw backs.

It all depends what you're looking for in life. Some people should never get married - especially if they're not satisfied with just one partner. Other just love to feel the contentment and stability of marriage and all the benefits it has to offer.

NO i like being married. I LOVE my husband he is great. We still go out and we still have time for ourselves and our kids. To be married you just have to be with the right person or the marriage will suck.
We dated for six years and we now been married for 5yrs now and still happy.

single life is wonderful, but marriage puts closure on the rest of ones life. You can't tell where you are going when you are single.
