still stuck on the question ...why is duck?
can anyone elaborate.. has anyone heard this before in their psycology or sociology or philosphy classes in college??

If it is an actual question asked in your college class then the answer is this:
"Because the professor thinks that he is being clever, while in reality he is being dumb -- the professor should IMMEDIATELY move on to teaching REAL real subjects and stop wasting students' time"

it's a goofy little non-joke that is best heard when one is intoxicated.
