Things to look for in a suitable high end server high availability server with high user concurrent users.

A server with dual power supplies
A server with RAID controller to support RAID 5 or 10 support (RAID 5 mirrored)
A server with RAID supported memory
A server with multi-core/dual support processor
A server in a temperature control rack like a rack from APC with proper air flow.

With this basic configuration you pretty much can plug it into any manufactures solution from Dell to HP. I've personal have worked with HP proliant server and would recommend that brand over any other.

Any top end piece of equipment will cover you as long as it isn't Windows based...LOL

Go for a Sun server. Unix based.
