A ton. Home Depot and Lowes each have annual nursery and garden sales in the 25 billion range. On top of these you have thousands and thousands of L&G centers throughout the country.

I'm going to assume that you are asking about a flower and plant growing facility, a true nursery. The L&G centers buy and sell from nursery growers. As for what we do for the economy, we pay taxes to the city, county, state & fed gov like everyone else. The empolyee make money , the pay taxes, buy food, clothes, gas..., as well as doing that we keep L&G center in business, after all if no one grew them they would'nt have them to sell there for they would'nt have work and visa vera. We have to have permits for any landbreaking move we want to make, and that is money in the city, county and big brothers pocket, nurseries are under watch that people could'nt imagine.
I've been growing professionally for 14 years and I have the best job in the world!!!!!! Thank you Saul Brothers!!

Well you would probably have to ask a nursery what they bring in and multiply it by how many nursery's are in the yellow-pages.
