Adhesive backed, reflective Mylar would work. You apply it like contact paper. Sorry, I don't know where it is available. You'll have to do the old web search thing.

Spray the back of the plexi with chrome paint. When dry, spray paint it again with matte black. Dry. Hold up the plexi so the painted side is away from you and you are looking into the unpainted surface. With good lighting, you should see the reflection. Most mirrors are "second surface" much like the one you just made. Special mirrors can be first or front surface mirrors with a special reflective metallic coating on the front. The glass or plexi then is simply a base for the reflective paint.

There is no way you can do that, it wouldn't turn out right, sorry, you'll need to buy a mirror, unless you tried some of that silver paint for background and glass color paint they sell, but don't count on it coming out good.

I dont think it will work. What I can suggest is to use those tape on style roll on mirror like solar shades that you put on your windshield, home or office windows. They are flexible and strong, and you can see through it. Does that help?
